Along the same lines,, All of the debt relief programs that you might consider will have their inherent advantages. Some of them will provide people with an instant solution, while other debt relief measures will give folks a chance to get counseling. This is a good thing, too, because the financial world is full of people with differing needs at the core. Consolidation, in particular, has its own set of advantages for consumers with very distinct needs. Is it better than other debt relief programs? This all depends upon where you are financially at this time and where you hope to be in the not so distant future.
All the Best

Having cash in hand is going to give you more power in the debt negotiating process and even though private rates are higher than bank mortgage, they are still way lower than credit card rates in most cases.

Comment on Choosing a Debt Consolidation Company With Care by JBowers http://www.mydebtreliefblog.com/debit-consolidation/choosing-a-debt-consolidation-company-with-care/comment-page-1/#comment-1213 JBowers Wed, 02 Nov 2011 15:37:07 +0000 http://www.mydebtreliefblog.com/debit-consolidation/choosing-a-debt-consolidation-company-with-care/#comment-1213 This is an excellent article that highlights the differences between free and for-profit debe consolidation services. I think the choice for most people in this situation boils down to whether they want to try an active role in their situation and use free help or take a more passive role and pay for a service that may be more aggressive. Usually if one is at this point they would rather NOT think about their debt situation and just avoid it for as long as they can. I tried that once, didn’t work.

I have a huge debt which I am struggling to pay despite the economic policies in place. 45 cents on the dollar is a bit too high for my liking, to be honest.
