You’ve heard it numerous times - on television, in the newspaper and on the radio - people across the United States are struggling financially. Foreclosure rates are at record high levels, credit card delinquencies are skyrocketing and thousands of individuals employed in manufacturing are losing their jobs every day. If you’ve fallen victim to any of these scenarios, there’s a very good chance that you’re feeling embarrassed due to your financial woes.

Well, it’s time to stop that nonsense and realize that millions of people are struggling financially, and you’re certainly not alone. The majority of people face at least some type of financial difficulty throughout their lives and finding a solution to their problems is much more productive than letting embarrassment get in the way of results. As a matter of fact, I talked with a prospective client the other day, whose credit card accounts were nearly two months delinquent. This woman knew that she would very likely be unable to make her payments for several weeks prior to going delinquent, but resisted contacting a professional for assistance simply due to the fact that she felt embarrassed by having “so much debt.” I gently reminded this person that her debt wasn’t nearly as bad as she originally thought, and dealing with these situations is what I do on a daily basis.

So, if you’re resisting the opportunity to speak with a professional about your lack of ability to make ends meet, please keep in mind that you’re not alone and individuals employed in the credit services industry are accustomed to assisting people just like you. There’s no need to feel as though you’ve got nowhere to which you can turn for help when in fact there are many options available to you.

If you have a steady income, but simply can’t seem to make ends meet, you may want to consider consumer credit counseling. Or, if you’ve already attempted consumer credit counseling and it just didn’t work for you, you may also want to seriously consider debt settlement. This type of debt relief is a program whereby you (or a professional firm hired by you) negotiate with your creditors in an effort to reach an agreement to settle your debt in full for less than the full balance. Debt settlement is an excellent alternative to bankruptcy. To learn more about debt settlement, click here

Please remember, you’re not alone, and there is help available. It’s time to take the steps necessary to put an end to your financial problems and start living again. I wish you the best.
